Lecturer in educational programmes for primary and secondary school

Marcel Vorage is lecturer in the educational programmes for primary and secondary school at the Salzburg University of Education Stefan Zweig. The lectures focus on the interdisciplinary use of natural sciences, geography and economics to foster a deeper understanding of societal and environmental change. In addition, students train didactical skills to be able to more effectively raise interest and understanding of primary and secondary school students in light of the challenges we all face with respect to sustainable development.
After finishing his B.Sc., M.Phil. and Dr. in Economics in the Netherlands in 2010 (Erasmus University Rotterdam, Free University Amsterdam and University of Amsterdam), he moved to Salzburg to pursue his interests in Biology. Over the course of the next few years he completed a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Biology and Environmental Science as well as a B.Ed. and M.Ed. in Geography and Economics.
Next to his work at the Salzburg University of Education Stefan Zweig, Marcel Vorage is a teacher at the secondary school MS Bergheim bei Salzburg, where he mainly teaches Mathematics, Geography and Economics, Nature and Technics as well as Chemistry and Physics. In cooperation with colleagues from all over Austria, he is involved in writing the new curriculum for the first four years of secondary school in Geography and Economics.
